FORMER GULF STUDENT KILLED, HIT BY CAR
Jessica Redfern, a student in the Class of 2006, was killed on May 5 when she was hit by a car while trying to cross a road in Shady Hills. She was 22 years old. Her boyfriend, Brian Stover, 21, was injured in the same accident.

PARENTS NEEDED TO PLAN SENIOR PICNIC
Sara Brandt and Joy Phillips have scheduled a meeting for parents of seniors interested in organizing a senior picnic. There has been a senior picnic for the last several years, but it has been organized by parents; the school itself is not involved. If you can help, please attend the meeting on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the staff conference room at the NPR Rec Center, or call Sara at 842-6479.

GRADUATION TO BE HELD AT EPICENTER AGAIN THIS YEAR
In a letter currently being mailed to parents of students scheduled to graduate on June 6, Mr. Imerson announced that graduation will be held at the EpiCenter, as it was last year. Some pictures of the facility from last year are here. Each graduate who does not owe fees will receive seven tickets. Graduating girls will wear white gowns this year. Mr. Imerson’s letter is here.

DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSE
A driver's education course will be offered in room 215 at Ridgewood H. S. Mon. through Fri. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 16-27 (session 1) or June 30-July 11 (session 2). Fee is $150. Contact Mrs. Pat Lyons by June 12 at Marchman in Student Services, Building E, Monday through Thursday from 1 to 8 or Fridays from 8:30 to 3:30 or call 774-1708. Maximum 15 students per class; classes may be canceled because of low enrollment.

ALUMNI GOLF SCRAMBLE
The 12th Annual Gulf High School Alumni Golf Scramble is being held Sunday, June 1, at Fox Hollow Golf Club. Registration begins at 12 Noon and play will start at 1:00 PM. The cost is $75 per player which includes golf with cart, a Tee gift, door prizes and dinner after golf at Windows on the Green. Hole sponsorships are also available for $100. Interested parties should contact Paul Girardi or Jerry Young at 727-774-3300 no later than May 24.
