Athletic Booster Club

The Booster Club will meet during the 2007-2008 school year on August 13, September 4, October 1, November 5, December 3, January 14, February 4, March 3, April 14, and May 5.

The Gulf High School Athletic Booster Club is open to any adult wishing to support Gulf High School athletics. Meetings are generally held on the first Monday of each month at Beef O'Brady's, on Highway 19 in New Port Richey (near IHOP) at 7 p.m. Parents of athletes are encouraged to attend and represent their child's sports team. Without representation, the Booster Club will not know the needs of the various teams.

The Booster Club is responsible for maintaining concession stands for each sport. Working two hours at the concession stand supports athletics and earns volunteer hours for your child's sport and the school.

The Booster Club donated over $13,000 to the school and various teams in 2006-2007. Donations included assistance with participation fees for students, awards and trophies, team uniforms, tournament fees, and state t-shirts.

Athletic scholarships totaling $1,800 were given out for the first time in 2006-2007 by the Booster Club. Students can check with the guidance office for information about the Athletic Booster Club scholarships.

The Booster Club holds an annual Barbecue to help raise additional funds for the teams. Tickets are $100 per couple and entitle the ticket holders to a delicious meal of barbecue, drinks, entertainment - and the chance to win cash prizes of either one of four $500 prizes or the grand prize of $3,000.00. The 2007-2008 Barbecue will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007.
