Great American Teach-in

Business representatives brought the professional prospective to the classroom to prepare students for a variety of career fields.  A big thanks to Kevin Fulford, Personnel Director Pasco County; Eric Hershberger, OMB Budget Coordinator Pasco County; and Jim Widman, County Engineer Pasco County.  These gentlemen spoke of careers in the military and in the private and public sectors.

Dress for Success

FBLA and IBT students participated in a stage production demonstrating appropriate and inappropriate business attire and interviewing skills.  Two guest speakers, Pete Lucadano of Luke Brothers landscape Service and Kevin Fulford, Personnel Director Pasco County, addressed the audience and evaluated the job interviews.  The fashion presentation and job interviews were scripted and produced by two students, Stefani Giannakaris and Kevin Jose.  The following photo-poster was the marketing strategy for advertising.

Career and Personal Attributes

The poster was promoted by the IBT faculty, illustrated by Jessica Mayer, a student, and distributed to all classrooms for inclusion into classroom discussions throughout the school year.  Always building positive character and work ethic . . . .

Florida Learn and Serve

When a hurricane threatens our community, “Florida Learn and Serve” is a project funded by a grant to warn, prepare, and assist those in our community who are in need of assistance.  Students in the IBT are one of many groups at Gulf High participating in this project.  IBT students have assisted in preparing forms and notices needed and processing when needed.

FBLA

The Gulf High Chapter of FBLA is a club member-ship for IBT students and is sponsored by the business department.  To read about and see, go to the Gulf High website and click on clubs – FBLA.
