![]() School psychologist Pauline Bollman to retire
GULF HIGH SCHOOL, May 25, 2006. -- Pauline Bollman, Gulf High School's psychologist, is retiring at the end
of the school year.
Mrs. Bollman has been the school psychologist at Gulf for 18 years. She also serves as the psychologist for Fox Hollow Elementary, where she has worked for 14 years. According to Mrs. Bollman, the duties of the school psychologist include psychological testing on students who are not succeeding in school because of behavioral or academic reasons, individual and group counseling, in-service training, and classroom presentations. Mrs. Bollman was born in Miami. She attended high school at St. Xavier's Academy in Latrobe, Pa. After graduating from high school, she was a stay-at-home mom and worked in photofinishing for about ten years. She did not go to college until she was 37 years old, but she since earned a B. S. degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and an M. A. in Educational Psychology and an Ed. S. degree in School Psychology, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her first husband was among five persons killed in a small plane crash in New Hampshire in 1977. She is now married to Art Bollman, who is a yacht captain. They have six children, 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. |
