The students recently read the book to first graders at local elementary schools, and they gave each student a copy of the book. The project was facilitated by Mrs. Mudry, Gulf's reading coach, who obtained a Literacy in Action grant from Florida Learn and Serve. Gulf Principal Mr. Imerson and Pasco County Schools Superintendent Heather Fiorentino accompanied the Gulf students to some of the schools, and Joe Follman of Florida Learn and Serve will accompany students next week.
