New school resource officer

GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Aug. 16, 2007.—Gulf's new school resource officer is Jeff Fichtemaier. Cpl. Fichtemaier has been employed by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office for seven years. He spent three years as a Field Training Officer, three years on the SWAT team, and one year on Community Policing. Before he became a deputy, he was a golf pro. Jeff was born in Rochester, N. Y., but is a 1990 graduate of Hudson High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force for seven years. His wife Erin is an Intensive Reading teacher at River Ridge Middle School.
