 World War I re-enactor visits history classesGULF HIGH SCHOOL, Mar. 26, 2007—George Kranz, a World War I re-enactor, visited history classes of Alwood, Bigley, Donaldson, and Manley today, dressed in a period uniform, showing off World War I memorabilia, and talking about the war. In the pictures below, students and a mannequin alo are modeling uniforms used during the war. According to Mrs. Alwood, Mr. Kranz obtained some of his memorabilia from his great uncle, who fought in World War I. He purchased some other items on the Web site ebay.com. He is a retired police officer and bailiff who currently substitute teaches in some local schools. |
