Five years of math with Mr. Miller

GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Feb. 25, 2008.—Four GHS students have had the same math teacher every year from 8th to 12th grade. The top photo, taken on Aug. 25, 2003, shows Mr. Miller's 8th grade Geometry Honors students that year, including James Cody (2nd), Courtney Cohen (3rd), Clay McKinley (4th), and Nikki Johnson (7th). Each year several Gulf Middle School students take Geometry Honors at GHS during first period. These four students are pictured with Mr. Miller in the bottom photo, taken today. This rather unusual circumstance occurred because Mr. Miller taught Geometry Honors and Algebra II Honors several years ago but then switched to teaching Precalculus and then AP Calculus and AP Statistics. Asked for a comment about this, Nikki Johnson said, “It's fantastic!”
