GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Dec. 22, 2009. — Amy Riddle, who has been at Gulf High School since the 1997-98 school
year, will become an assistant principal at Land O’ Lakes High School, pending school board approval on
Jan. 19.
In an email to the faculty today, Mr. Knobl said that the appointment was well deserved, and that she will be missed at GHS. Mrs. Riddle has been the choral director at Gulf for most of her time here. Earlier, she was the choral director at Gulf Middle School for five years. Mrs. Riddle is married to Dr. Glenn Riddle, who is a chiropractor. They have two girls, who attend Chasco Elementary School. (The older daughter, Amy mentioned, attained a perfect score on the 3rd grade FCAT in both reading and math.) Amy Moseman was born in Grand Gorge, N. Y. She attended Roxbury High School in Roxbury, N. Y., a K-12 school. She has a B. S. degree in Music Education from USF, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Leo University, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Luis University. Her departure could mark the end of an era for Total Sound. Mrs. Riddle and Connie Perdue, who started the group, have been the only two directors of Total Sound. This year, Mr. Rutherford is teaching Chorus, rather than Mrs. Riddle, as it was expected that Mrs. Riddle might become an assistant principal. |
