![]() Gulf's CAPA members meet with the facultyGULF HIGH SCHOOL, Nov. 1, 2004. - Members of Gulf High's CAPA team were introduced at a faculty meeting in the band room today. Afterwards, they met with the individual learning communities to which they are assigned.CAPA, which stands for Career and Academic Partners in Action, is a school-based learning community advisory committee of business people and educators which promotes the infusion of authentic career related experiences in all discipline areas through a range of activities where students and employers interact directly on the school campus or in the workplace. Peggy Green heads the program at the district. The co-chairpersons at Gulf High School are John Gallagher and Kathy Trapp. The CAPA members are: Mary Alicea, Lori Kalman, and Dan Johnson (Institute of Business and Techology); Marjorie Golub, Janel Norton, and Gloria Tyndall (Institute of Communication and Arts); Keri Deren, Gennie Ginsberg, Tim Spitzer, and Jason Taliaferro (Institute of Health and Human Services); and Jim Duffy, Doug Baker, Bipin Parikh, and Jeanne Whitaker (Institute of Technical Sciences). |
