Gulf students excel at FBLA conference

The Future Business Leaders of America District Leadership Conference held on January 27, 2004, at River Ridge High School was a winning day for many of the Gulf High members.

Christina Angelillo placed first in the Banking and Finance competition.

Michelle Mendonca, a national qualifier in International Business last year, kicked off this year's competition season winning the first place Kurt S. Thompson Award for Marketing.

Freshmen Stefani Giannakaris and Ashlee Fischer both had great showings for their first high school FBLA competition, Giannakaris placing second in Public Speaking I and Fischer coming in third in Introduction to Business Procedures.

Junior Rosa Golijan placed second in International Business.

All of the aforementioned members plan on attending the State Leadership Conference which will be held in Orlando at the Peabody Hotel April 4-7.
