![]() Jewelry design contest winners![]() GULF HIGH SCHOOL, April 14, 2005. -- Gulf High School art students took first and second place in a jewelry design competition sponsored by Pasco County Schools and Kiefer Village Jewels. Pictured above are Shawn Partin (honorable mention), Caitlin Gavin (second place), Eleni Han (first place), and Andrew Burford (honorable mention). Others who participated from Gulf were Adam Nunly, Brian Peregoy, Michelle Housel, Courtney Conroy, and Nikki Franze. Eleni won a $300 gift certificate and a weekend at the Disney Dolphin/Swan Resort. Caitlin won a $300 gift certificate and one of Jane Wullbrandt's designer pendants. The contest, which combined art and technical application, was open to Pasco County School students of all grade levels. The students created an artistic rendering of any type of jewelry item which could be constructed using conventional methods such as lost wax, fabrication, and soldering.
