Shannon Lee is remembered by her graduating classmates

GULF HIGH SCHOOL, May 23, 2003 -- One member of the Gulf High School Class of 2003 died two years ago and is remembered by her classmates as they graduate.

Shannon Laura Lee died of a brain tumor on June 28, 2001, at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

She attended Gulfside Elementary School, Locke Elementary School, Gulf Middle School, and Gulf High School. At Gulf Middle, she was a cheerleader.

One of her classmates, Shannon Pelt, recalled that her friend had the opportunity to meet her favorite band 'N SYNC twice through the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Shannon was born in Sommerville, New Jersey, in 1985. She is survived by her mother Marlene, her father John, a brother Jason, and a sister Robyn.
