School Advisory Councils meet at Gulf Middle

GULF MIDDLE SCHOOL, Feb. 28, 2005. -- The school advisory councils of several schools in western Pasco County met tonight in the cafeteria of Gulf Middle School. We have some pictures below.

The schools, which together are called the Community of Gulf Schools, include Gulf High and Gulf Middle and several elementary schools, including Richey, Locke, Marlowe, and Anclote.

Tonight's meeting included brief remarks from each principal, a tour of the new two-story classroom building at Gulf Middle, and a presentation by Mr. Imerson about the International Baccalaureate program, which will start at Gulf High next year as a pre-IB program for ninth grade students.

Gulf Middle School Principal Stan Trapp conducted a tour of the new classroom building.

Right: The GHS School Advisory Council poses for the camera; a larger version of this photo is here. Interesting fact: Mr. Taylor and Mittye P. Locke have been the only two principals of the Elfers school since 1937.
