Dorothy Naclerio named SRP employee of the year

GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Nov. 4, 2003 -- Dorothy Naclerio has been named School Related Personnel employee of the year.

Mrs. Naclerio began her work at at Gulf High School in 1994 as a Job Placement Trasition Specialist Assistant.

She writes, "I work closely with three very special men, Jeff Serletic, Troy Labarbra and Pete Taylor in the Job Placement Program.

"My job started in the hospital program teaching job skills to TMH students from Marchman. Now we have a very large program that has students from Gulf High going daily to Commuity Hospital learning various job skills.

"I also work closely with Vocational Rehabilitation to further assist students with Post Secondary School or other work related needs."

Mrs. Naclerio also runs the School Store.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the New York School of Business. She then moved to Peekskill, New York where she raised eight children, "his, mine, and ours."

Mrs. Naclerio moved to Florida in 1989 and volunteered at various elementary schools. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for nine years.

She reports that her hobbies are are "boating, sewing and having my family around." She has three dogs -- a pug, a dachshund, and a Shih Tzu.

Employees in the Pasco County schools who are not faculty members are called School-Related Personnel (SRP).
