Mario Bartoletti named SRP of the year

Dr. Bartoletti is the Gulf campus supervisor. He assists with discipline.

He was hired at Gulf in October 2004 under a special project developed by Mr. Imerson and former Assistant Principal Patricia Haynes. This year his official title is Instructional Assistant, Discipline.

Dr. Bartoletti has been a juvenile arbiter in juvenile court in New Port Richey. Earlier, he was in private practice as a psychologist and a family mediator for about 25 years, first in Toronto for 15 years and more recently in New Port Richey. He moved back and forth between the two cities until he retired here.

He holds an Ed. D. degree in adolescent psychology from the University of Toronto and an M. A. degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He is a retired Air Force officer, having attained the rank of major. In the Air Force auxiliary he was involved in cadet training programs for the Civil Air Patrol. He was born in Los Angeles and grew up in California. He has lived in Florida since 1988.

He and his wife Lili have three daughters. Two live in Port Richey and the other in Atlanta. They have six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Before retiring, Lili worked as an office administrator for Arc Industries in Tampa and earlier worked for MCI-WorldCom in Tampa.

The announcement of the selection of Dr. Bartoletti was made today by Cathy Mirenda, who is the chairperson of the SRP of the Year Selection Committee.

Employees of the Pasco County school district who are not teachers are called School Related Personnel.
