Liz Phillips, Gulf employee, honored at PEF dinner

Mrs. Phillips GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Feb. 14, 2003. - In the photo at left, Elizabeth Phillips, the data entry operator at Gulf High School, shows the plaque and corsage she was given last night at the Pasco Education Foundation dinner honoring school employees.

Mrs. Phillips is Gulf's employee of the year among the non-faculty staff.

She started at Gulf in October 1999. Before then she was an ESE paraprofessional at Gulfside Elementary School.

Mrs. Phillips is originally from Fort Lee, New Jersey. She moved to Florida in 1976. She is married to Charles Phillips. They have two daughters, Suzanne, who is a Gulf graduate, and Charlene, who is currently a student at Gulf.

School personnel who are not teachers are called "school-related personnel" or SRP's.

Gulf's teacher of the year this year Tom Dale, who died unexpectedly on Sept. 4, 2002, was honored posthumously. His wife Linda accepted his award.
