| GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Dec. 11, 2002.—The Gulf High School Buccaneer band will be outfitted in new uniforms in the new year.
The uniforms will make their debut on Feb. 1, 2003, at the All-County Concert.
The uniforms, which were supplied by Stanbury Uniforms, are identical in design to those used by the Cavaliers, an award-winning
drum and bugle corps.
According to Director of Bands William L. Rutherford,
100 uniforms were purchased at a cost of $22,000. He said that band
uniforms are
normally replaced every eight years in Pasco County high schools. They
are financed by the fees students pay at registration.
The design for the new uniforms was selected by Mr. Rutherford.
