James E. Warder, NJROTC instructor, dies at 64
GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Oct. 26, 1998 - James E. Warder, who was one of two instructors who started the NJROTC program at Gulf High School in 1979, died on Oct. 24. He was 64.
Mr. Warder was a retired master chief petty officer in the Navy. He served 29 years as an ordinanceman, serving on numerous ships, aircraft squadrons, and shore commands. He retired from his position as Associate Naval Science Instructor at Gulf in August 1996.
Mr. Warder was born in Tampa. He moved to Florida 20 years ago from Virginia Beach, Va. He is survived by his wife, Ann, five sons and five daughters, a brother, and five grandchildren. He was buried with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
