The Bucs warm up before the homecoming game
GULF HIGH SCHOOL, Oct. 29, 1999 - We wish some other team had made it possible, but nevertheless Gulf High School congratulates the Wesley Chapel Wildcats on their first ever football victory, 22-7, on Oct. 29. Wesley Chapel is Pasco County's newest high school, having opened this past August.Wesley Chapel led 22-0 at halftime. The Bucs outperformed the Wildcats in the second half, with outstanding play by Jesse Bailey. Two Gulf touchdowns were called back because of penalties, and the Bucs were stopped on downs inside the Wesley Chapel 10-yard line three times in the fourth quarter.
