Gulf wrestling team finishes second in district competition

ZEPHYRHILLS, Feb. 15, 2003. - The Gulf High wrestling team came in second tonight at the district competition in Zephyrhills. Zephyrhills took first place.

Gulf had fivedistrict champions: 103 lb Joey Pospisil (JR), 135 lb Bryan Ryder (JR), 171 lb Andrew Mendonca (SR), 189 lb Tim Tracy (SR), and 215 lb Freddie Liriano (SR).

The top four place finishers advance to regional competition in Indian River next weekend. Thirteen of the 14 Buc wrestlers will advance to regional competition.
