Meeting called to Order
Sherry Giunta, Chairperson, called meeting to order at 6:06 pm.

Acceptance of Minutes
Minutes from May 14th meeting – motion to approve, seconded, and passed.
Welcome and Introductions
Mr. Imerson gave a most hearty welcome to returning SAC members and welcomed new members. Members of the newly formed committee were asked to introduce themselves and their affiliation on the SAC Council.
Mr. Imerson passed around a piece of paper for members to write their names on for a prize drawing at the end of the meeting.
Election of Chairperson & Secretary
Nominations for Chairperson: Sherry Giunta. Sherry Giunta accepts. All in favor of Sherry Giunta as Chairperson, seconded, passed, and accepted.
Nominations for Secretary: Jeff Serletic. Jeff Serletic accepts. All in favor of Jeff Serletic as Secretary, seconded, passed, and accepted.
Meeting Dates 2007-2008
Meeting dates were agreed upon and scheduled as follows: October 22nd, November 26th, January 28th, February 25th, March 24th, April 28th, and May 19th. A total of eight (8) scheduled meetings.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Update
This item was tabled as Dr. Lepley was out sick. Will review at October 22nd meeting. Mr. Imerson stated that many new faculty members were being sent for training.
Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP)
Mr. Labarbara presented a PowerPoint presentation of current CIP needs assessment at Gulf High. The CIP has been approved and finalized. Members were given a hard copy to review.

Motioned to accept as is. Motion seconded and passed.
School Grade Information
An informational handout was provided to all members. The handout was written by Mr. Imerson, which stated his point-of-view on the subject. Also included was a written plan for utilizing the $25,000 provided to address student achievement.
5 Star School Award
Gulf High has won the 5 Star School Award in 2005-2006, 2006-2007, and was also to receive the award for the 2007-2008 school year. However, due to the school grade of a “D” the school was not issued the 5 Star School Award, only the golden and Silver School Awards were awarded.
Open
Happy 85th Birthday Gulf High School. Gulf High first opened its doors on September 18, 1922.
Mr. Imerson addressed the issue of a recent school-wide security disturbance. Precautions taken, but nothing prevailed.
